Shell Tonna S2 M is a high-quality oil for machine tool guides and feed mechanisms. Its improved adhesion and resistance to stick-slip significantly improve the operation of the systems. It is recommended for applications where there is a high probability of oil contamination by cutting and cooling fluids, because it demonstrates excellent separation of them.

Application:

• Machine tool guides, tables and feeding mechanisms
  Compatible with a wide range of guide materials including cast iron and synthetic materials.
• In hydraulic or transmission systems,
  although the use of Tonna S3 M oils is recommended for such applications.
• For horizontal guides, low viscosity Shell Tonna S2 M 68 oil is recommended.
• For vertical guides it is recommended to use Tonna S2 M 220 oil.
