Cutting and Spindle Lubricants
Spindles or rotating shafts often rotate at very high speeds and involve a certain level of machining precision. To maintain this precision over time, proper lubrication is required.
The viscosity for oils or the rated speed (Dn factor) for greases should be carefully selected to match the spindle speed. Considering high speeds, the type of thickener and cleanliness of the grease may also be considered to minimize noise generated by the spindle.
The Molykote P-1042 lubricating paste is highly recommended here.
New ecological light-coloured lubricating paste reinforced with solid lubricants, designed for sliding surfaces exposed to water or metalworking emulsions.
