SILK Lube is a special lubricant designed for intensive cycling use. It is a blend of polyester and silicone enriched with various additives that improve lubrication efficiency and increase load. It is characterized by a low coefficient of friction.

This modern grease is based on a synthetic base, containing complex synthetic compounds and additives for working in extreme conditions and at high pressure. It uses high quality silicone oil with low viscosity, corrosion inhibitors, adhesion promoters and penetrating additives that make the grease more fluid and less viscous, including a PTFE compound.

This grease spreads easily and evenly on all parts of the chain, especially in its difficult to reach but crucial places, such as the center of the links. EP additives ensure proper functioning of the grease even under heavy chain load, and silicone particles ensure viscosity stability regardless of temperature.

Thanks to the combination of synthetic polyester-silicone compounds with PTFE, the grease penetrates hard-to-reach places, displacing water and protecting against corrosion. High-purity oils perfectly dampen the chain, making it smooth and quiet. The silicone in the grease prevents dirt from sticking to the chain and facilitates the displacement of water.

This grease meets all the required standards for "lube and ride" bike greases and maintains its integrity at the molecular level, even after heavy use. It is perfect for long rides in harsh weather conditions or when you have to carry your bike across a river, as it does not wash off easily.

SILK LUBE has a consistency reminiscent of thin honey and is available in 100 ml bottles with a dispenser that makes application easier. The yellow color of the lubricant indicates its long service life, and additives that prevent deposits mean that the chain does not require mechanical cleaning, making it very economical in use.

Thanks to its silicone and PTFE content, SILK LUBE is not only suitable for lubricating the bicycle chain, but also for other bicycle components such as derailleurs, brake cables, brake levers and brake calipers. It is compatible with plastic and rubber and is quick to apply, allowing you to ride directly after lubrication, while effectively dissipating heat from friction points.

We recommend the following method for lubricating a bicycle chain with SILK LUBE oil: Remove the old layer of grease from the chain physically (e.g. using a brush) and chemically (using the ecological Hybrid Bike Cleaner). Then apply one drop of grease to each roller from the inside. Crank the pedals for about 10-30 seconds to evenly distribute the grease. After waiting a few minutes, wipe off excess oil with a cloth or a special sponge. It is important that the pins and rollers are lubricated, even if the chain appears dry on the outside.

Such a lubricated chain reduces rolling resistance, which improves drive efficiency and reduces friction. Deep lubricant penetration ensures quiet operation, protects the drive from overload and extends the life of the chain by protecting it from dirt and water.

How to use SILK LUBE for your chain:
