MOLYKOTE® Z Powder is a high quality molybdenum powder (molybdenum disulfide, MOS2) that provides extreme pressure and oxidation resistance within the lubrication requirement range. MOLYKOTE® Z Powder is produced as charcoal, a loose powder with a uniform particle size of 3-4 µm. MOLYKOTE® Z Powder has an extremely wide operating temperature range from -301°F to 752°F.

MOLYKOTE® Z Powder is a high-performance, multi-purpose solid lubricant that can be used in many applications requiring high levels of extreme pressure (EP), anti-wear (AW) and anti-oxidation, including but not limited to:
  • Metal components as a dry burnished performance additive for self-lubricating plastics
  • Metalworking fluid or coolant
  • Additive for brake linings
  • An additive that helps to reach into press fittings
  • Equipment with heavy loads and low speeds of movement
