DRY LUBE is a synthetic blend - Evil Lubricants brand bicycle chain lubricant developed for competitive and amateur riding in dry weather conditions. The synthetic base is a mixture of complex synthetic compounds containing additives that increase lubrication even in difficult conditions.

DRY LUBE synthetic oil contains corrosion inhibitors that prevent rusting of metal surfaces by creating a thin protective layer and neutralizing acids. Additives that improve adhesion, penetrating and creeping additives that increase fluidity and reduce the viscosity of the lubricant make the lubricant evenly distributed over all parts of the chain and in particular rub in its most difficult and at the same time most important place, i.e. the center of the links.

Dry LUBE chain lubricant has been enriched with EP lubricity enhancing agents and dispersion additives that maintain contaminants in a uniform suspension, as well as anti-oxidant additives designed to slow down the aging process, which allows for extending the product's shelf life. The EP (Extreme Pressure Antiwear) additive contained in the grease is designed to reduce grease degradation as a result of high pressures generated during competitive rides on the track, road or mountain terrain.
The product composition developed in this way creates a laminar plate structure that significantly reduces metal-to-metal friction and improves gear shifting in every situation, even under high loads.

The grease meets all the necessary standards for "lube and ride" bicycle greases, which maintain their integrity at the molecular level when crushed by the chain pins and plates and the teeth of the crank pulling on the front sprocket. Although the grease was developed for high performance where the loads on the chain are very variable depending on the derailleur used and the strength of the rider from 100 Watts to 1000 Watts and change very often, while in amateur riding it is stable up to 125 Watts, the grease works perfectly in both of these applications. Important for the durability of the DRY LUBE chain grease is that, although the grease has many similarities in behavior to wax and Teflon greases, it cannot be "squeezed" from between plates, pins and rollers. Hybrid DRY LUBE is thin, the consistency is slightly like fat milk and is packed in a 100 ml bottle with a dispenser matched to the shape of the chain links.

The purple color of DRY LUBE allows you to easily mark the place of previous lubrication and the product is characterized by a long service life and thanks to additives preventing the formation of deposits, the chain does not require mechanical cleaning, and the subsequent use of grease only increases the lubricants contained in the chain. This advantage makes the product exceptionally economical in use. The greatest advantage that distinguishes the product from others on the market is the lubricant additive contained in the base oil, which causes the transport and penetration of the grease into hard-to-reach places, the so-called creeping additive.
After applying the optimum amount of lubricant to the chain elements, the transport additive evaporates, leaving a thin lubricating coating on the chain elements, which is dry to the touch and does not absorb dirt from the environment. It should also be added that the coating is hard and does not wear out quickly, and re-lubrication only increases and hardens it.

Although DRY LUBE is marketed as a dry weather chain oil, puddles or light rain will not wash it off the surface. So it is not a dry-weather-only product; wet conditions will not immediately wash out the lubricant.

Its main advantages can be reduced to several elements, the most important of which are:

• easy, quick dosing thanks to the fitted tip
• long-lasting effect far exceeding available products of this type
• packaging adapted to home service
• covers the rollers faster and more permanently than thicker counterparts

Our recommended method for lubricating a bicycle chain with DRY LUBE oil is as follows. Before using the lubricant, remove the old grease remaining on the chain, preferably physically (e.g. with a brush) and chemically (we recommend an ecological Hybrid Bike Cleaner which not only degreases but also cleans). Then apply one drop of lubricant to each roller, from the inside. After soaking the roller, turn the pedals for about 10 to 30 seconds to distribute the lubricant evenly between the rollers and pins. After waiting a few minutes, wipe the excess oil from the chain with a cloth or a special sponge. Externally, the chain may look dry - it is important that the pins and rollers are lubricated. Remember to always shake the bottle before use to mix the structure of the lubricant.

Deep chain penetration ensures quiet operation, protects the drive system from overload and extends the life of the chain by protecting it from dirt and water.
